north_carolina1.jpg (318030 bytes)The North Carolina Class of Battleships were the first of the "Fast Battleships" built for the US Navy prior to WWII. Two ships were built: USS North Carolina (BB55) and USS Washington (BB56).  Both ships served with distinction throughout WWII with the USS Washington credited with the sinking of the IJN Battleship Kirishima.

Summa02.jpg (55887 bytes)Classic Warships offers the only 1/350th scale model of the North Carolina Class Battleship. This kit is a multimedia offering  that includes resin and white metal castings with 2 large photo-etch frets. A full set of drawings, Camouflage Sheet, and decals are included with the kit. The kit contains enough parts so that you can model either the USS North Carolina or USS Washington from 1941 to 1943.

A review of this kit can be found on the warship_logo.jpg (19123 bytes) website.
