Classic Warships is now shipping its 1/350 scale model of the USS Alaska/Guam (CB-1 & 2), the only battlecruisers to have served with the U.S. Navy. The 27.5" long hull will be available in both waterline and two-piece full-hull versions. This gives the modeler two purchase options, with a substantial discount for waterline.

As with all our 1/350 scale kits, the model includes a comprehensive photoetch set with railings, cranes, catapults, radars etc. The hundreds of small parts such as 20mm guns,
ammo boxes, anchors, 25-man life rafts etc. are molded in
white metal.

CB-1_Alaska6.jpg (17989 bytes)The USS Alaska/Guam kit includes 1/350 scale drawings as well as camouflage patterns and painting instructions for both ships. And all our 1/350 scale kits now come with hull number decals.

The kit of the USS Alaska is now available and can be purchased at any one of our dealers or direct from us.

This kit will render all other Alaska kits in ANY SCALE obsolete. All other kits were built to the drawings in
the "US Battleships" book by Garzke & Dulin, which, unfortunately, are very inaccurate.
